Computer-aided graphic series of Jan Pamula from the early eighties are an example of the use of first programmes allowing the visual control of the processor work by means of the graphic interface in creative process. In 1980 the artist took part in the investigations in this area, which were run in the Atelier de recherches techniques avancées (A.R.T.A.) brought to life at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris in 1977. This experience was an opportunity of confrontation of the earlier reach of the artist with the possibilities of new computer technologies in order to "calculate" rigorous geometrical compositions that previously had been worked out by means of traditional methods.

Komputerowe serie graficzne Jana Pamuly z poczatku lat 80. sa przykladem wykorzystania w procesie twórczym pierwszych programów umozliwiajacych wizualna kontrole pracy procesora za posrednictwem interfejsu graficznego. W 1980 artysta bral udzial w badaniach prowadzonych w tej dziedzinie w Atelier de recherches techniques avancées (A.R.T.A.) powolanym do zycia w 1977 w paryskim Centre Georges Pompidou. Doswiadczenie to bylo okazja do konfrontacji wczesniejszych poszukiwan artysty z mozliwosciami nowych technologii komputerowych w celu "wyliczania" rygorystycznych kompozycji geometrycznych opracowywanych uprzednio metodami tradycyjnymi.
